JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Coulee Region Chill were shut out for the second consecutive game and third time this season on Friday, as Janesville Jets goalie Tony Kujava made 17 saves to lead his team’s 3-0 win.
The Chill (8-11-2) managed just 17 shots on Kujava, who earned his sixth shutout of the season. Coulee Region goaltender Aaron Davis was busier, facing 37 shots and making 35 saves.
Janesville took a 1-0 lead at 14:34 of the first period on Adam Frank’s goal. That lead stood until the final minute of third period, when Michael Preston scored on an empty net. The Jets added an insurance goal with eight seconds left.
