BLAINE, Minn. — The Coulee Region Chill continued their perfect start to the season on Thursday morning at the NAHL Showcase.
After spotting Dawson Creek two early goals, the Chill scored four unanswered, all in the second period, to top the Rage 4-2.
The Chill (2-0) tied the game on two power-play goals early in the second period.
Matt Blomquist got Coulee Region on the board off an assist from David Ripple and Tommy Miller tied the game on an unassisted goal at the 12:35 mark.
Two minutes later Jakob Batcha scored on assists from Ross Luedtke and Andrew Pitts to give the Chill a 3-2 lead. Ben Gislason then provided the insurance on an assist from James Hughes.
The Chill got 20 saves from goalie Aaron Davis and outshot the Rage 41-22, including 16-9 in the second period and 15-4 in the third.
