ALEXANDRIA, Minn. — The Alexandria Blizzard rallied from a one-goal deficit by scoring four unanswered goals to defeat the Coulee Region Chill 5-2 in an NAHL game Friday night.
The Blizzard (9-6-1) took a 1-0 lead on Casey Purpur’s goal early in the second period, but the Chill
(8-9-2) rallied behind goals by Ross Luedtke and Jake Useldinger to take a
2-1 advantage at the 12:03 mark.
Gage Torrel’s goal at 16:44 tied it at 2, and Craig Lindegard’s power-play goal at 19:38 gave the Blizzard the lead for good.
Alexandria added third-period goals from Lindegard and Nick Decenzo to put the game out of reach.
Ben Jaremko, Ryan Jaremko and Tyler Klein had assists for th Chill.
Goalie Jacob Meyers stopped 24 of 26 shots for the Blizzard. Coulee Region goaltender Aaron Davis made 46 saves.
The teams meet again at 7 p.m. today at the Onalaska OmniCenter.
