JANESVILLE, Wis. – Coulee Region Chill goaltender Aaron Davis was brilliant, stopping all 51 shots in regulation and overtime to keep his team in a one-sided game against the Janesville Jets on Saturday.
But the Jets got two goals past Davis in the shootout, and Janesville goalie Tony Kujava stopped four of five, securing a 1-0 victory for the Jets.
The Chill's offense managed just 15 shots on goal in three periods plus overtime. Davis, meanwhile, faced flurry after flurry. It was the third time this season he's faced 50 or more shots.
Connor McBride and Jordan Bancroft scored shootout goals for the Jets (16-4-1) and Brady Riesgraf scored for the Chill (8-11-3).
